Emergency Medical Technician/EMT (Full time) - Emergency Medical Services/EMS

The County of Volusia is seeking Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) candidates to provide basic life support, pre-hospital medical care, and transportation for the ill and injured throughout Volusia County.

This position is posted on a continuous basis and may close without notice.

Requirements: Availability for around-the-clock shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary and Benefits:

• Emergency Medical Technician: $17.46-$18.51 per hour.
• Experience Pay for verified pre-hospital experience:
• 1-2 years: 1.5% above minimum
• 3-5 years: 3% above minimum
• 6+ years: 6% above minimum
• Shift Differential Pay: $1.25/hour for hours between 10pm-4am, increasing to $1.85/hour on October 1, 2023.
• Lead EMT Pay: Eligible after 6 months, with additional training; includes $1.25/hour for special assignment and additional pay for BLS ambulance roles.
