An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides Basic Life Support (BLS) for emergency and non-emergency requests. Responsibilities include ensuring safe and prompt patient transportation, working in potentially hazardous environments with PPE, assessing and triaging patients, and coordinating with emergency agencies and healthcare providers. Accurate documentation and adherence to all relevant regulations and protocols are essential.
Required: High school diploma or GED, ICS certifications (ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-700, IS-800.D), excellent communication skills, proficiency in computer use. Preferred: 2+ years of BLS experience, 911 experience.
Must be physically capable of lifting heavy patients and equipment, driving in all conditions, and performing fine motor skills in moving ambulances. Good hearing, vision, and communication skills are required.
