Ambulnz by DocGo in Saint James, NY is hiring an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join a 24/7 EMS team. You will respond to calls, provide care, and transport patients to facilities, while maintaining equipment and documenting patient information.

The Pilot Program offers higher shifts and a $26/hour rate for qualifying hours, with full details provided during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Valid NY State EMT certification.
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 125 lbs or more.
• Must pass Physical Aptitude Test.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow EMTs and management to assure top tier patient care.
• Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock; shifts may vary.
• Remain up to date with current standards of care and certifications.
• Provide courteous, professional service to patients, co-workers, and the public.
• Recognize and treat medical conditions with appropriate techniques and protocols.
• Transport patients and complete required pre-hospital reports.

Together with DocGo's integrated Ambulnz medical transport services, DocGo is bridging the gap between physical and virtual care.*Responsibilities:** Collaborate with your fellow EMTs and management to assure top tier patient care.* Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock - your work shift schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.* Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations.* Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.* Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all State and County protocols.* Provide top tier medical transport to medical facilities by assuming responsibilities for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures.* Operate and drive the ambulance in accordance with safety policies and laws, showing due regard for all applicable State and Regional Regulations (DMV & DOH)* Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.* Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.* Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.* Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.* Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures* Other tasks as assigned*Qualifications:** Valid NY State EMT certification* Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification with American Heart Association or equivalent* Excellent verbal communication skills* Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs. or more* Successfully complete Physical Aptitude Test*Preferred Qualification:** Valid Driver’s license, (minimum of 2 years) with an acceptable driving record, preferred*Pilot Program:*Ambulnz by DocGo has a Pilot Program you’re able to apply into once you are hired and pass training.
