Job summary

DocGo Ambulnz is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team across Abington, PA; Philadelphia, King of Prussia, or Bensalem stations. Positions include full-time and part-time roles with weekend availability. Base pay ranges from $22.50 to $29.50 per hour, with night differential and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• PA EMT State Certification is required.
• Valid CPR Card for Health Care Provider.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EMTs and management to assure top tier patient care.
• Work flexible shifts as EMS operates 24/7; schedules may vary.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standard care and equipment functions.
• Provide courteous, professional service to patients and colleagues.
• Deliver top tier medical transport following established policies and protocols.
• Operate ambulances safely in accordance with state and regional laws.
• Maintain rig cleanliness and stock supplies.
• Gather patient billing information and signatures.
• Prepare and submit pre-hospital patient care reports.
• Respond promptly to dispatch assignments.
• Communicate clearly with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with your fellow EMTs and management to assure top tier patient care.

• Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock - your work shift schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.

• Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations.

• Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.

• Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all State and County protocols.

• Provide top tier medical transport to medical facilities by assuming responsibilities for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures.

• Operate and drive the ambulance in accordance with safety policies and laws, showing due regard for all applicable State and Regional Regulations (DMV & DOH)

• Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.

• Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.

• Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.

• Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.

• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• Perform other duties as required/assigned.

Qualifications

• PA EMT State Certification (minimum)

• Valid Driver's License (for a minimum of 2 years) required

• Acceptable driving record required

• Valid CPR Card for the Health Care Provider

• Must be able to lift, push and pull 125 lbs. or more

• Successfully complete Physical Aptitude Test
