Job summary

DocGo Ambulnz is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the Philadelphia, PA area. Positions are available at multiple stations with both full-time and part-time options and require at least one weekend day.

Base pay ranges from $22.50 to $29.50 per hour, with night shift differential, overtime opportunities, and weekly pay. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401k for full-time staff, plus opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must hold PA EMT State Certification (minimum).
• CPR Certification for Health Care Provider required.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable driving history (minimum 2 years).
• Must be able to lift/push/pull 125 lbs or more.
• Physical Aptitude Test successful completion required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EMTs, Paramedics and management to assure top-tier patient care.
• Shift schedule may vary due to 24-hour operations; weekend availability required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standards of care and certifications.
• Provide courteous, professional patient interactions and transport to facilities.
• Operate ambulances safely and in compliance with state/regional regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with your fellow EMTs, Paramedics and management to assure top tier patient care.
• Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock - your work shift schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.
• Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations.
• Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
• Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all State and County protocols.
• Provide top tier medical transport to medical facilities by assuming responsibilities for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures.
• Operate and drive the ambulance in accordance with safety policies and laws, showing due regard for all applicable State and Regional Regulations (DMV & DOH)
• Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.
• Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.
• Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.
• Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Perform other duties as required/assigned.
