Qualifications

• Must have experience with EMS equipment and operations.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving history.
• Required to pass drug tests and various background checks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assist in immediate care.
• Maintain professional appearance and cleaning of equipment.

Skills

General Knowledge of EMS operations

Ability to learn through training

Ability to acquire knowledge of road/street systems

Basic understanding of trauma care

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Valid Health Care Provider level CPR certification

EMT-8 certification with the WV OEMS office
