Job description

Job Summary: Performs safe transport of non-emergent clients. Will receive on-the-job training for Medical Transport Driver and Emergency Medical Technician roles, along with coursework for Emergency Medical Technician national certification. The training includes team-based care for the sick and injured, providing basic life support during Emergency Medical Services response.

Job Duties

1. Operate emergency vehicles in compliance with the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code to ensure safe travel.
2. Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers, supervisors, and other leaders.
3. Maintain and report any deficiencies of equipment and vehicles.
4. Accurately document patient care and transportation details.
5. Participate in on-the-job training covering regulatory requirements, CPR, AED, First Aid, Customer Service, EMT didactic program, emergency vehicle operations, lifting, moving, transferring, mass casualty incidents, prehospital trauma life support, international trauma life support, and Scan Emergence Medical Services.

Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. The role requires meeting all job-specific obligations and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. Additional competencies outlined in department-specific orientation are also essential for successful performance.
