Emergency Telecommunicator Services seeks dedicated Emergency Medical Dispatchers for Albion duties. You will receive calls, verify locations, prioritize incidents, and coordinate EMS resources following approved protocols.

A high school diploma or equivalent is commonly required; EMT/paramedic credentials are not universal. CPR certification and sponsored training may be required, with overtime and varied shifts.

Qualifications

• EM Dispatcher certification may be required.
• CPR certification and additional coursework may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies.
• Confirm the patient’s location, callback number, and access details.
• Ask approved questions about the patient’s condition.
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system.
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when included in the assignment.
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications.
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel.
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities.
