Job summary

This role requires after-hours staffing, with evenings and weekends as needed, and on-site work in Charlottesville. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop procedures, participate in responses, and ensure readiness using UVA Alerts and Veoci.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management or related discipline is required.
• One year of full-time emergency management experience.
• Certifications IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800 within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and lead cross functional teams to prepare for disruptions.
• Develop and revise Emergency Procedures and plans.
• Participate in Emergency Response and recovery efforts.
• Coordinate institutional emergency management projects and 24/7 operations.
• Education and outreach to staff on emergency readiness.
