Emergency LVT/Veterinary Assistant, GCVS

Apply now to be part of a dynamic veterinary team at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS). We are seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and energetic individual with excellent collaboration skills to join us as an Emergency LVT/Veterinary Assistant.

About GCVS: GCVS is a leader in specialized pet care, offering top-tier services across various specialties including emergency, cardiology, oncology, neurology, and surgery. Our state-of-the-art facility and dedicated team make a difference in the lives of pets and their families daily.

Compensation:

• $17-$34 hourly, depending on licensure, skills, and experience
• Weekend differentials included
• SIGN ON BONUS: $2500 for active LVTs

Schedule:

• Full-time, 3 shifts of 12.5 hours each (6am-6:30pm or 10am-10:30pm)
• Alternating weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in nursing care for hospitalized patients
• Support anxious pet owners and communicate effectively
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team members for optimal patient care

Qualifications:

• Licensed Veterinary Technicians or experienced Veterinary Assistants (minimum 2 years)
• Emergency and Critical Care experience preferred
