Overnight Critical Care LVT/Veterinary Assistant, GCVS

If you are a highly organized, compassionate, and energetic individual with excellent collaboration skills, we want you to join our team at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS) as an Overnight Critical Care LVT/Veterinary Assistant.

GCVS is a leader in specialized care for companion animals, known for excellence and collaboration with the veterinary community. Our state-of-the-art facility offers top-tier care across specialties including emergency, cardiology, oncology, neurology, and surgery. Compensation

• $17-$34/hr, based on licensure, critical skillset, and experience
• +$3/hr weekend differential
• +$2/hr overnight differential
• SIGN ON BONUS: $2500 for active LVTs

Schedule

• Full-time, 3x12 hour shifts (6pm-6:30am)
• Alternating weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Providing proficient assisted nursing to hospitalized patients
• Supporting anxious pet owners and keeping them informed
• Maintaining accurate medical records
• Collaborating with veterinarians and team members for patient care

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technicians or experienced Veterinary Assistants (minimum 2 years)
• Experience in Emergency and Critical Care preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions
• Passion for animal care and patient well-being
• Fluent English (speaking and reading); multilingual skills a plus
