Overnight Emergency LVT/Veterinary Assistant, GCVS

Join Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS) as an Overnight Emergency LVT/Veterinary Assistant and play a vital role in providing exceptional emergency care for pets. We are seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and energetic individual with excellent collaboration skills to join our team.

About GCVS

GCVS is a leader in specialized veterinary care, offering advanced services in emergency, cardiology, oncology, neurology, surgery, and more. Our state-of-the-art facility and dedicated team make a difference in the lives of pets and their families daily.

Compensation

• $17-$34/hr, based on licensure, skillset, and experience
• + $3/hr weekend differential
• + $2/hr overnight differential
• SIGN ON BONUS: $2500 for active LVTs

Schedule

• Full-time, 3x12 hour shifts (6pm-6:30am)
• Alternating weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in nursing care for hospitalized patients
• Provide compassionate support to pet owners
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team members

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technicians or experienced Veterinary Assistants (minimum 2 years)
• Prior emergency and critical care experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions
• Passion for animal care and patient well-being
• Fluent English skills required; multilingual skills a plus
