Job summary

Washington Military Department is seeking a Logistics Coordinator Emergency Management Program Specialist 2 for a non-permanent 10‑month assignment. This role provides professional level support for developing and delivering emergency management services with a focus on logistics and mutual aid.

The position reports to the Logistics Program Supervisor and involves coordinating with state agencies and local jurisdictions, performing in SEOC operations during incidents, and contributing to COOP

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as an Emergency Management Program Specialist 1 or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree plus two years of professional level experience in emergency management, financial management, training/education, public information/affairs, or project management.
• Master's/PhD substitutions may apply to education/experience as described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing statewide emergency plans and procedures for emergency logistics and mutual aid.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve program objectives and train personnel on logistics processes.
• Assist with EMAC and PNEMA implementation and coordination.
• Perform duties in the SEOC or designated alternate location during emergencies.
• Assist with the Division’s Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning.
