Job summary

Washington Military Department seeks a Logistics Coordinator / Emergency Management Program Specialist 2 to support the development, implementation, and delivery of emergency management services with a focus on logistics and mutual aid. This civilian role reports to the Logistics Program Supervisor and spans statewide coordination.

The position is non-permanent for up to 10 months, with potential telework options and standard government benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional level experience in emergency management, financial management, training/education, public information/affairs, or program management.
• A Bachelor's degree AND two years of professional level experience is required; advanced degrees may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop statewide emergency plans and procedures for emergency logistics and mutual aid, coordinating with federal partners, state agencies, and local jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement strategies to accomplish program objectives and train personnel on emergency logistics processes and procedures.
• Assist with statewide EMAC and PNEMA implementations.
• Perform duties in SEOC during response and recovery to emergencies; support Continuity of Operations planning.
