Job summary

VCA Animal Emergency Hospital Southeast Calder Road in League City, TX is seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our one-of-a-kind Emergency and Critical Care Hospital. This full-time night position runs 8pm-8am, three 12-hour shifts per week with a pay range of $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Requirements include veterinary technician experience and emergency experience preferred. Weekend and holiday work is required.

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician experience required.
• Emergency experience preferred.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to lift over 30 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to place IV catheters, monitor anesthesia, triage emergency cases and manage hospitalized patients.

Responsibilities

• Place IV catheters and monitor anesthesia.
• Triage emergency cases and manage hospitalized patients.
• Communicate effectively with doctors and staff; calculate drug dosing.
• Administer medications by injection, oral, and topical routes.
• Perform standard hospital cleaning and follow hospital protocols.

VCA Animal Emergency Hospital Southeast Calder Road is looking for an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to join a one-of-a-kind Emergency and Critical Care Hospital!

Full-time, Overnight 8pm-8am, three 12-hour shifts per week

Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Location: League City, TX 77573

• Veterinary Technician Experience required.
• Emergency experience preferred.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to lift over 30 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to place IV Catheters, surgery monitoring, triage emergency cases, manage hospitalized cases, communicate efficiently with doctors and staff, calculate drug dosing, administer medications via injection, oral, and topical routes.
• Standard hospital cleaning duties.
• Follow hospital checklists and protocols.
• Maintain highest standard of patient care.
