Job summary

VCA West Coast Specialty & Emergency Animal Hospital in Fountain Valley, CA is hiring a Full-Time Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician. You will support doctors and techs, monitor anesthesia, perform radiology, venipuncture and patient assessments while maintaining records.

Earn $26.50–$32.00 per hour, with swing and overnight differentials; 4x10-hour shifts on Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat. Great benefits and opportunity to advance in veterinary emergency care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CVT/RVT/LVT credential(s).
• Experience in emergency veterinary care is preferred.
• Ability to perform venipuncture, catheter placement and anesthesia monitoring.

Job description

Join the VCA West Coast Specialty & Emergency Animal Hospital team! We are looking for a Full-Time Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician.

Location: 18300 Euclid St., Fountain Valley, CA 92708

Schedule: Full-Time opportunity, 4 x 10-hour shifts Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Salary : $26.50 - $32.00 ALL dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities.

Swing Differential: $2.00/hour

Overnight Differential: $3.00/hour

• Maintain accurate and complete medical records
• Helping clients and doctors during humane euthanasia
• Maintain a clean work environment to maintain any infectious disease protocols, handle medical/biomedical and infectious waste appropriately
• Maintain inventory and supplies for procedures and patient husbandry.
