Job summary

California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services seeks an Information Technology Specialist I to provide hands-on IT support for Cal OES offices and emergency operations across the state, including field deployments during disasters.

The role troubleshoots computers, networks, mobile devices, and communications equipment, sets up technology at field locations, and guides staff during fast-paced emergency events, contributing to readiness and resilience.

Qualifications

• FEMA IS100, IS200, IS700, and IS800 training completed.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in IT related field.
• Experience deploying mobile and satellite network solutions.
• Certifications: Network+, A+, or CCNA.
• Experience providing IT support during public safety or emergency events.
• Knowledge of the NIMS ICS ICT structure.
