Job summary

Post Falls ER & Hospital in Idaho seeks a Registered Nurse (FT, Days) to coordinate and deliver patient care across ages in the emergency care setting, including neonates to geriatrics, in compliance with nursing standards. The RN will implement care plans, document thoroughly, collaborate with the team, and participate in quality, safety, and education activities while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care.

Minimum 2 years inpatient or ED nursing experience required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of inpatient acute care nursing or Emergency Department Nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure.
• BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC certifications.
• Maintain clinical competency and continuing education.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the inpatient setting.
• Develops and evaluates individualized plans of care with the care team.
• Monitors patient progress and responses to treatments with appropriate escalation when needed.
• Coordinates diagnostic testing and procedures with timely follow-up on results.
• Educates patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge instructions.
• Ensures safe transitions of care and thorough handoffs during admissions, transfers, and discharges.
