Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited veterinary technician program with greater than 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine.
• Substitutions: 2+ years of veterinary medicine experience if not graduated from a technician program.
• Registered as a Veterinary Technician through DORA with CACVT certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced emergency and critical care nursing services.
• Perform and support complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under clinician direction.
• Monitor high-risk patients and interpret diagnostic data for management adjustments.
• Collaborate with clinicians, students, interns, residents, and clients for care planning and communication.
• Provide clinical leadership and mentor technicians, assistants, and students.
• Teach and train students and staff in emergency and critical care protocols.
• Prioritize tasks, document care, and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain ICU operations and readiness, including after-hours support.
