Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician in Michigan or obtain licensure within one year.
• Three to five years of related experience in patient care, surgery, drug dosing and sterilization.
• Emergency/Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care (approx. 75% of time) as Veterinary Nurse I/II.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations of Emergency and ICU departments.
• Supervise, hire, and train nursing staff.
• Create and maintain staff schedules; approve time off requests.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels to support patient care needs.
• Oversee performance management, evaluations, and corrective actions.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients and clients.
• Resolve performance, workflow, and operational concerns.
• Perform other duties to support department operations.
