Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls is seeking a licensed pharmacist to ensure safe, effective medication use for patients of all ages. You will prepare and dispense prescriptions, advise providers on drug therapies, monitor regimens, and educate patients on proper use.

You will also supervise pharmacy staff, participate in clinical activities, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards while engaging in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in the state of practice within 30 days.
• Experience ensuring safe and economical drug use for diverse patients.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy staff and interns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications for patients.
• Monitor drug therapies and advise on interactions and allergies.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use and potential adverse effects.
• Coordinate workflow with pharmacists, residents, and technicians to ensure efficiency.
