An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to oversee the Emergency General Surgery Verification Program. GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
Responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the Emergency General Surgery Verification Program (EGS-VP), including organization of services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to care of the Emergency General Surgery (EGS) patient. Collaborate and communicate with and between physicians, clinical staff, and departments, to coordinate EGS services and maintain continuity of care. Plans and oversees education for staff, physicians and community as needed. Abstract data on qualifying EGS-VP registry patients as defined within the accreditation manual. Represents the EGS program on various hospital and community committees.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be licensed in the State of Idaho as a Registered Nurse as defined by the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing-master’s degree preferred. 5 years of work experience as an inpatient nurse in Emergency, Operating Room, Med Surg, or Critical Care. Surgical Critical Care/Stepdown experience highly preferred.
