Job Title: Emergency Funds & Program Administration Specialist
Department: Student Life | Student Advocacy

The Emergency Funds & Program Administration Specialist provides primary administrative and programmatic support for student emergency funds and grants administered by the Student Advocacy Center (SAC) and Monda Student Resource Center (MSRC). The position independently manages the application, review, documentation, communication, and payment processes associated with emergency funding programs, working directly with students, university offices, and community partners to facilitate timely access to resources. The position applies established program criteria, exercises independent judgment in addressing unusual or complex circumstances, maintains confidential records, and supports assessment and reporting related to emergency funds and grants. The position also provides administrative and operational support to the Student Advocacy Center, confidential document processing, front desk coverage when student employees are unavailable, and other office operations including purchasing. The position coordinates the Center's annual Clery reporting responsibilities, participates in university Clery-related activities, and researches grant opportunities and assists with grant proposals and required grant reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Required Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 2 years of relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of customer services experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word; excellent verbal and written skills; strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
Desired Experience:
  • Desired Experience working with students in higher education or student services.
  • Experience administering student assistance programs, grants, scholarships, or other financial resources.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience handling confidential information and applying program guidelines.
  • Strong problem-solving, and independent judgment skills.
  • Familiarity with university administrative processes, Clery Act reporting, Maxient, and/or grant research, proposal development, or reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, university staff, faculty, and community partners.
