Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in humanitarian or emergency contexts.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, cash flow management, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Willingness to be deployed on short notice to emergency settings.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify the accuracy of financial source documents and payment packages before processing.
• Ensure transactions comply with local legislation, WVI policies, and donor regulations.
• Maintain financial records and registers, ensuring timely payment processing and reconciliations.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and clear employee advances.
• Work with Shared Services to ensure smooth Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
• Assist in preparing financial records and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure financial processes and transactions comply with audit standards.
• Implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
• Prepare and submit required local financial reports, including tax and social security filings.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation and reporting deadlines.
