Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York seeks an experienced supervisor to lead the safe and efficient resolution of local electric distribution emergencies. You will direct repair and restoration of overhead and underground facilities, coordinate materials, and manage 12-hour rotating shifts in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires incident command experience and a commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and teamwork while maintaining service reliability.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant electric emergency restoration experience or similar roles.
• Ability to work a full 12-hour rotating shift and respond to emergencies.
• Experience with incident command systems and contractor oversight is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates repair and restoration of overhead and underground conductors and equipment.
• Ensures materials, supplies and equipment are available and delivered on time.
• Oversees high/low tension switching operations in accordance with procedures.
• Directs emergency restoration using incident command practices and company guidelines.
• Fosters safety, teamwork, and customer service while meeting budget and policy requirements.
