Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) is seeking an Operating Supervisor to lead overhead electrical distribution projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant work across installation, repair, and maintenance activities.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to respond to emergencies. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with several years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with less

Qualifications

Requires HS Diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree with 4 years; or a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
Strong supervisory experience preferred; familiarity with overhead distribution systems is a plus.
Must have valid Driver's License and ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Supervise installation, repair, maintenance, removal, replacement, testing and inspection of overhead distribution equipment.
Ensure materials and tools are available and delivered on time.
Enforce safety, environmental, and policy requirements in all work activities.
Interpret reports and apply findings to work responsibilities.
Provide coaching to subordinates and promote teamwork and inclusion.
