Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. is seeking an Operating Supervisor to lead overhead distribution work, ensuring safe, reliable performance in line with policies and environmental laws.

You will supervise crews, coordinate materials, and maintain compliance with procedures and standards. The role requires knowledge of the electric distribution system, strong leadership, and the ability to respond to emergencies and storms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience; or associate degree with 4 years; or bachelor’s with 2 years.
• Preferred: bachelor's with 3 years direct overhead distribution experience.
• Experience supervising field crews and coordinating materials, safety, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation, repair, maintenance, removal, replacement, testing and inspection of overhead distribution equipment.
• Ensure availability and delivery of materials, supplies, equipment and tools.
• Enforce safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance in all tasks.
• Promote inclusion, teamwork and professional conduct within the crew.
• Interpret basic drawings and maintain proper documentation and reporting.
