Berks County PA seeks an Emergency Duty Caseworker to provide after-hours coverage (5:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m.), including holidays and weekends. The role is essential personnel, requiring travel between county sites and responding to CPS investigations, emergency placements, and crises.

A valid PA driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours are essential. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in social welfare or related field, plus one year of relevant experience or completion of the

Competenze

Knowledge of current social case management principles, techniques, and methods.
Knowledge of social welfare policy and law as they relate to agency function.
Ability to conduct individual and family interviews and to use them to identify problems.

Mansioni

Respond to after-hours referrals including CPS investigations, emergency placements, and crisis intervention.
Supervision of performance and coordination of leave and training.
Work assignments are received from the On-call Supervisor and CWIS system.
Ensure 24/7 coverage and supervisory consultation for abuse calls.
Perform related tasks as assigned.
