Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to type 40+ words per minute.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Receive and evaluate emergency and non-emergency calls via multi-line phone systems with professionalism and empathy.
• Utilize computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software to log incidents accurately and efficiently.
• Dispatch police, fire, or medical units promptly using radio communication systems and GPS technology.
• Gather critical information, determine priority levels, and provide pre-arrival instructions such as first aid or CPR guidance.
• Maintain clear communication with first responders during incidents, providing updates and support as needed.
