Job summary

Day Kimball Health is hiring an Unit Receptionist/Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department in Putnam, CT. This per diem role supports nursing staff with front desk management, patient transport, bathing, feeding, and vital signs, under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CNA/EMT-B or equivalent clinical experience required.
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification within 3 months of hire required.
• Current NVCIT certification within 3 months of hire required.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 32 hours.
• Experience in clerical or receptionist roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meets the physical demands of the position.
• Demonstrates ability to cope with and function under stress.
• Assist the patient in daily activities as directed by the nurse.
• Assist the nurse in restraining and removing restraints.
• Complete all forms, requisitions, communications and special projects as assigned.
• Transcribe physician orders when applicable and support patient care activities.
