Job summary

Holy Redeemer Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to assist nursing staff with technical and patient care duties in the ED. You will provide direct and indirect care under RN supervision and communicate changes in patient conditions to the multidisciplinary team.

As an ED ambassador, you will advocate for patients and families while upholding mission values and ensuring smooth ED operations within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalency.
• EMT/Paramedic certification preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Health Aide Certificate or 2 years experience in acute care setting.
• Previous clinical health care experience is preferred.
• Must be available for alternating shifts.
• Approved in Phlebotomy and EKG procedures.
• Stroke education per unit protocol annually.
• Must meet satisfactory completion of orientation and competency validation within probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing personnel by performing a variety of technical and patient care procedures.
• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Communicates with multidisciplinary team members about changes in a condition or response to treatment.
• Acts as a patient/customer advocate and an HRHS representative meeting the patient/family needs.
