Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Woodbury, MN, seeks an Emergency Department Technician (EDT) to join the Woodwinds Hospital team. The role supports nurses, transports patients and equipment, restocks rooms, and maintains unit readiness in a fast-paced ED.

This 0.75 FTE (60 hours/2 weeks) position requires BLS and one credential (EMT/ERT, Paramedic, CNA, or nursing program enrollment) with 6+ months of patient care experience, and may involve on-call weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required with one of the listed credentials.
• Professional nursing support experience in fast-paced settings is preferred.
• Eligible to work in the United States with appropriate credentials.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients by wheelchair and cart.
• Assists patients with ambulation and positioning.
• Informs RN of patient/family observations and concerns.
• Responds promptly to patient call lights/requests.
• Demonstrates concern for patient dignity and privacy.
• Assists in resuscitation and acts as nurse extender when needed.
