Job summary
El Camino Health is seeking a dedicated professional for the Emergency Department to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role includes rotating to oversee ED waiting area patients and assisting on arrival, while supporting triage decisions and informing patients, families and staff.
The position requires a high school diploma, strong English communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Clear English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
- Ability to adapt, prioritize, and function in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect care in the Emergency Department as part of the unit-based team.
- Rotate to oversee patients and families in the ED waiting area and assist upon arrival.
- Assist the triage RN in identifying medical necessity and prioritization.
- Support patients, families, and staff by providing information and guidance.
