El Camino Health is seeking a dedicated clinician to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role also rotates to oversee patients and families in the ED waiting area, supporting arrival procedures and triage information.

Responsibilities include assisting patients, families and staff, maintaining calmity in a fast-paced environment, and adapting to shifting priorities. Night shift with eight-hour hours per shift is available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, guests, and co-workers in English both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to speak in Spanish a plus Exceptional people skills and an ability to function in a calm manner in stressful situations Has the ability to adapt, prioritize, and function in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
• NREMT paramedic or EMT certification OR RN program coursework (2 semesters).
• CNA may be considered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association.

Job Description

As part of the unit based team, this position is responsible for providing direct and indirect care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. In addition to providing clinical care for patients, this position also rotates to oversee the patients and families in ED waiting area; providing assistance to patients’ upon arrival, assisting the triage RN in identifying medical necessity, supporting and providing information to patients, families and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, guests, and co-workers in English both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to speak in Spanish a plus Exceptional people skills and an ability to function in a calm manner in stressful situations Has the ability to adapt, prioritize, and function in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
• Certification/License National Registered Paramedic - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians OR proof of current completion of 2 semesters in an accredited Registered Nursing Program CNA may be considered Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association

Salary Range: $38.49 - $48.66 USD Hour
