Job summary

El Camino Health is seeking a part-time Emergency Department assistant to provide direct and indirect care under RN supervision. The role includes rotating oversight of patients and families in the ED waiting area and assisting with patient arrival and triage processes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to adapt, prioritize and function in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for patients.
• Rotate to oversee patients and families in the ED waiting area.
• Assist patients upon arrival.
• Assist the triage RN in identifying medical necessity.
• Support and provide information to patients, families and staff.
