Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Northern Nevada Health System is seeking an ED Technician to assist with basic patient care under direct supervision of the registered nurse. The role supports the Emergency Department team and maintains a prepared environment for patient care.

Responsibilities include taking and reporting vital signs, transporting patients, and assisting with movement and lifting as needed. This is a full-time position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current EMT or CNA Certification.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Prefer one year experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive care to the Emergency Dept patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse or physician.
• Takes, documents, and reports vital signs. Reports abnormal results immediately to the registered nurse.
• Transports patients, as necessary to other departments and inpatient units.
• Assists with moving, ambulating and lifting patients.
