Job summary

Hillsboro Medical Center is seeking an ED Support Technician to provide clinical and clerical support in the Emergency Department, coordinating services and patient flow.

The role requires a high school diploma, EMT/CNA/MA or equivalent, BLS as applicable, and at least 1 year of patient care in acute or pre-hospital settings. Phlebotomy, EKG skills, and accurate charting are valued. On-site shifts with evening differential are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT, CNA, MA or equivalent at time of hire; BLS preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed personnel in maintaining inventory and reporting discrepancies.
• Schedule and coordinate ordered services and admissions/transfers/discharges.
• Transport specimens to lab and coordinate clinical information.
• Enter data into charting systems and maintain patient records.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and participate in meetings.
