Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced education in a health care field preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year patient care experience in an acute care or pre-hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed personnel in maintaining inventory and report discrepancies.
• Schedule and coordinates ordered services.
• Assist in admissions, transfers, and discharges; arrange transportation as directed by clinical staff.
• Scan clinical information into chart after clinical staff has reviewed it.
• Coordinate safekeeping of patient valuables including labeling with patient name.
• Coordinate clinical information to appropriate people.
• Maintain physician roster with updates.
• Coordinate and/or transport specimens to lab.
• Request medical records from other facilities as directed by clinical staff.
• Perform and document tasks following charting procedures and hospital policy.
• Report equipment failures promptly to enable repairs.
• Maintain and reference resource documents and policies.
