Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is offering a Graduate Nurse Residency in the Emergency Department for a 16-week program. This full-time role on three 12-hour night shifts runs 7am–7pm.

Upcoming start dates include June 2027 (January 2027 applicants considered). As a Level 1 Trauma Center, Mercy provides comprehensive benefits and education to support new graduates. You will apply the nursing process, coordinate care with departments, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and align with Mercy

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Must obtain/maintain a current RN license (state or compact).
• BLS (AHA) required or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties in line with Mercy mission, values and standards.
