Mercy Hospital St. Louis is offering a Graduate Nurse Residency program in the Emergency Department. This 16-week, full-time night program runs 7pm-7am across three 12-hour shifts, with September 2026 start dates.

Nurses will deliver care using the nursing process, maintain patient rights, and collaborate with multiple departments in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting. The residency emphasizes growth in high-acuity care, with day-one benefits including medical, vision, and dental, PTO, tuition

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Must obtain/maintain a current RN license (state or compact).
• BLS (AHA) required or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
