Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Department in Beckley, WV. This full-time night shift, in-person position focuses on patient-centered care in a rural 20-bed ED.

The RN will assess and treat patients, document care, and collaborate on interdisciplinary plans while maintaining high-quality outcomes and safe patient care. A BSN and state RN license are required, with BLS, ACLS, and PALS commitments within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
