Job summary

AdventHealth in Lenexa, KS is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our patient‑care team. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across multiple domains, ensuring safety and quality throughout all shifts.

You will administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver holistic care. A valid RN license and BLS certification are required, with Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with active state license.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
• 1+ acute care hospital setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluating and revising as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, care activities, and outcomes.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care within the healthcare team.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly and effectively.
