Job summary

Frederick Health Hospital Emergency Department in Frederick, MD, is a busy 60-bed adult unit with 9 crisis beds serving over 70,000 patients annually. We provide rapid diagnosis and innovative stroke and cardiac care in a Magnet-designated hospital recognized as a great place to work in healthcare.

We seek Registered Nurses with ASN/BSN, CPR/BLS, ACLS/PALS certifications, and a full-time schedule of 72 hours per pay period, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing (required).
• BSN preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment.
• RN license in Maryland or a compact state is required.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• CPR certification as listed in the licenses and certifications section.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using nursing standards and plan care.
• Document changes in patient condition and communicate with the health care team.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge.
• Lead and mentor less experienced staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
