Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Frederick Health Hospital Emergency Department. This part-time position supports rapid assessment and high-quality patient care in a busy 60-bed unit with a Magnet-recognized hospital.

The role requires RN licensure in Maryland or a compact state, ADN (BSN preferred), CPR, and 90‑day BLS completion. You will perform nursing assessments, plan and implement care, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the care team

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Maryland or a compact state.
• ADN required; BSN preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment.
• CPR certification required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and discharge planning needs.
• Develop and implement individualized plan of care.
• Educate patient and family and provide discharge planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care team.
• Document patient status and plan of care accurately.
