Job summary
Northwest Medical Center Tucson is seeking an experienced RN Charge for the Emergency Department, a Level III Trauma Center with an ADC of 100. The Charge will supervise nursing staff, coordinate care with the healthcare team, and ensure compliance with hospital policies while promoting professional development.
The role requires 1–2 years ED nursing experience, leadership experience preferred, and contributions toward improving patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active RN license required.
- BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required.
- 1–2 years ED nursing experience; leadership preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing and support staff during shifts.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback.
- Oversee patient care plans and ensure compliance with policies.
- Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital departments.
- Monitor patient flow and bed assignments within the unit.
- Lead infection prevention efforts and enforce PPE protocols.
- Respond to emergencies with leadership and direct patient care.
