Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide compassionate, hands-on care for patients of all ages in a fast-paced setting. You will support nurses, assist with daily living activities, mobility, and specimen collection as directed, while maintaining safety and quality of care.

The role requires an CNA/EMT-B credential (or willingness to obtain), a valid driver’s license, and BLS certification. Shift options include 36 hours per week with holiday and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• CNA/EMT-B certification required or in progress.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license required for work-related driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN supervision, including activities of daily living.
• Assist with mobility, positioning, and transportation of patients.
• Document care provided and maintain safety standards.
