Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville – Emergency Department in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Paramedic to join a multi-disciplinary team and provide patient care under the supervision of the Provider, with Medical Director oversight.

The role requires OEMS-approved Paramedic training, NC Paramedic certification, and BLS, with ACLS/PALS within six months. The position is full-time with a 36-hour work week and alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Paramedic Training Program (OEMS approved).
• CPI course within 30 days of hire.
• Current North Carolina Paramedic Certification (National registry preferred).
• BLS certification on hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care in accordance with policies and state regulations as approved by the Medical Director.
• Administers medications safely according to policy and facility guidelines under supervision.
• Collects and communicates data, reads monitors, and responds with correct intervention to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
• Evaluates patients and communicates needs to the care team per guidelines.
• Transports patients between designated areas.
• Performs Point-of-Care testing competency as assigned, per policy and regulations.
