Responsibilities

• Coordinate tests and treatments with and between various departments for patients on nursing units.
• Maintain knowledge of department functions to facilitate scheduling of tests and treatments.
• Facilitate communications to support patient care including multi-line phones, paging and EMR systems.
• Screen incoming telephone calls and manage department correspondence.
• Maintain EMR and ordering systems; process daily patient charges and chart forms; arrange medical records transfers.
