Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Nursing Float Pool. This full-time position requires 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, 7p-7a, with every other weekend and the ability to float to Atrium Health Union, Union West, Waxhaw ED and Anson as needed.

Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience is typical; BSN preferred and active RN license in applicable states. BLS required and EHR proficiency essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges to practice in the required states.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care with family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies according to protocols; ensures effective communication and escalation when needed.
• Demonstrates professional development and maintains required certifications; adheres to ANA Code of Ethics.
