Job summary

Michigan Medicine's Emergency Medicine department seeks an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator to support multiple study projects in the ED. The role covers study planning/start-up, IRB management, patient identification, consent/enrollment, lab procedures, and data collection, with potential independent coordination for simple/moderate studies.

The CRC will join a team handling a portfolio of projects with varying complexity, requiring mastery of CRC-Technician duties on the Michigan

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in health science or other relevant science, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Must be organized, efficient, self-motivated, and proficient in computer skills including Microsoft software applications.
Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, as well as prioritize and exercise good judgment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining effective collaborations and communication with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

Independently manage study regulatory compliance, including IRB protocols and submissions and maintenance.
Create and maintain study SOPs/protocols and research binders; perform literature reviews and maintain project tracking systems.
Coordinate subject identification, pre-screening, consent, enrollment, and data collection; manage specimen collection and storage.
Monitor subject safety and protocol adherence; coordinate daily study operations across projects.
Develop and conduct small/moderate studies; refine methodologies with staff to fit goals.
Participate in research meetings and maintain confidentiality across tasks.
